Oct 11 2019 - Tanker 505 made its final run. This time is was to head west then south on Interstate 81 to Verona Vol. Fire Dept. Located just outside of Staunton VA this small volunteer fire department was in critical need of a newer tanker. Their tanker was placed out of service permanently and to continue providing the highest level of fire rescue service they began a search for a newer tanker that would support their operations.

Chief Phil Garber, Verona VFD, reached out to us when he was informed that we had just placed our new Tanker 505 in service. The members of Nokesville VFD were more than happy to see our old and dependable tanker continue to be a needed piece of apparatus.

Working with Prince William County we were able to obtain permission to donate our old tanker to Verona VFD.
So, on Oct 11 Chief Mike Silva and Firefighter Conner Schiro drove the old Tanker 505 to Verona and handed over the title to them.
