Oct 25 2018 - Chief Silva and the Board of Directors of the Nokesville Vol. Fire and Rescue Dept. agreed to bring back the Junior Firefighter program. This program is designed to help introduce teenagers, age 16 and 17, to the field of volunteer firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This program will offer those who meet the minimum qualifications and maintain good standards with their school work the opportunity to be trained to the level of Firefighter II and/or EMT-B.

Junior members will be mentored by our Junior Program Coordinator and Junior Advisors. These individuals will guide the junior member through the process of obtaining the required classes prior to enrolling in to the Firefighter Academy or EMT Academy.

The mission of the Nokesville Vol Fire and Rescue Dept. is to maintain a safe environment for youth to gather within the community to learn about many aspects of the fire service and to provide avenues for positive social interaction for youth within the program, and for youth within the community.
