Structure Fire Destroys Nokesville VA Home

At 0255hrs Box 0539 was struck for a reported structure fire at a residence located along Windy Ridge Ln, Nokesville VA.

Engine 505 arrived on scene with a crew of 4 and noted smoke coming from the back of the single family home. Upon completion of the walk around the engine officer reported smoke coming from all sides of the home and that his crew would be making entry through a basement walkout entrance in the back of the home.

Upon entering the home crews encountered heavy smoke and zero visibility. As the crew from engine 505 began their search in the basement another crew began to search the first floor of the home. As condition began to rapidly deteriorate all crews exited the home.

As crews were regrouping outside of the home the conditions inside the home caused a flash over to occur engulfing the entire home. Crews changed tactics and began a defensive battle against the fire.

The residence of the home were alerted to the fire by working smoke detectors. No injuries reported to firefighters or the family.
