Medical Stand-By and Fire Truck Display

The 2017 Youth for Tomorrow Country Fair was one of the largest to date. An estimated 6,000 people attended the event on Oct 7th between 10am and 5pm. Units and Volunteer Firefighters and EMTs from Nokesville Station 5 and 25 provided medical stand-by (First Aid) along with our new Tower 525 to show the kids all the cool equipment that is on our Tower.

Supplies are Collected for Florida Recovery

September 26

On Sept 26th at 1730hrs Aaron's Towing arrived with their 18-wheeler to collect the relief supplies needed for victims of Hurricane Irma. Capt Judi Miller coordinated with Aaron's Towing and PWC Scanner Bums allowing for Nokesville Vol Fire Dept Station 25 to become a collection/drop off for supplies donated by local residents.

Accident With Entrapment

September 21

Units from Nokesville Vol Fire Dept. Station 25 and 5 along with Manassas Station 1 and 21 were dispatched to a reported auto accident with entrapment at the intersection of Nokesville Road and Pennsylvania Ave.

Fire and Rescue personnel were successful in freeing the occupant of the car. The person was then transferred to the awaiting helicopter (Aircare 3) to be flown to a local trauma center.

Florida Still Needs Help to Recover

Hurricane Irma's impact to the residence of Florida is still being felt. It may no longer be the leading news headline but the people still need our help.

We have joined forces with Aaron's Towing and PWC Scanner Bums to participate in the Hurricane Irma relief effort. Station 25 will act as a drop of center for donations of:

- new clothing / shoes
- blankets
- towels

Outside Fire for Company 5 Units

Mark Engman, August 05

At 1103 hrs on Aug 5 Company 5 units were toned out to a reported Outside Fire in the 14900 block of Deepwood Ln.

Units arrived on scene with fire showing from a overgrown field approximately 100 yards from the nearest road. Personnel from E505 stretched a hand line through the tall grass to extinguish the fire before it had a chance to spread.
