Volunteer Firefighters Graduate

July 11 2018 - We are proud to announce that Volunteer Recruit Class #18254 graduated from the Prince William County Fire Academy. After 7 months and over 450 hours of intense training these recruit are no longer "Recruits" they are certified Firefighters. Motor Vehicle Accident Route 28

Nokesville, VA - On June 29th at 1:04am Company 5 units were dispatched to a reported pedestrian struck on Route 28 north of Nokesville in the area where route 28 is being widen. Dispatched informed units that callers were requesting an ambulance immediately.

On a beautiful sunny day our firefighters along with firefighters from Stonewall Jackson VFD spent the day doing Live Burn Training at the Public Safety Training Academy located in Nokesville VA.

Firefighters arrived at 7am in the morning and attending a safety briefing and gear inspection prior to the first evolution of a total of 4 evolutions throughout the day.

Training In All Weather

The crews from our Station 5 and 25 didn't let 2 plus inches of rain dampen their spirits. They got out there and trained. Crews trained on a number of different scenarios from drafting water from the portable tank to flowing water to multiple hand lines and the deck gun.

As a volunteer firefighter our training never stops and our firefighters continue to improve and sharpen their skills.

Structure Fire Destroys Nokesville VA Home

At 0255hrs Box 0539 was struck for a reported structure fire at a residence located along Windy Ridge Ln, Nokesville VA.

Engine 505 arrived on scene with a crew of 4 and noted smoke coming from the back of the single family home.
