Congratulations to Our Two Newest Firefighters

On 2/8/2017, family and friends gathered at the Public Safety Training Academy (PSA) to celebrate and acknowledge the completion of Volunteer Firefighter Class 17036. Among the eight graduates were Nokesville's own, Frank Carissimo and John Paul Frank. Graduates completed a rigorous, intense, six-month training program which certifies them as new Firefighters.

High Performance CPR - Collaborate, Communicate, and Coordinate!

The first round of members (18 members) of NVFD spent their Saturday training to certify on High Performance CPR with 6 PWCDFR instructors at Station 15. This certification is in addition to the standard American Red Cross CPR training which is completed at a minimum of every two years.

There are 10 main principals of HP CPR.

1. EMTs own CPR
2. Minimize interruptions in CPR at all times

Nokesville was pleased to take delivery of 2 new ambulances just before Christmas.

New Ambulance 525 and 505B will soon be on the streets of Nokesville and Bristow responding to emergency calls for service.
