Outside Fire for Company 5 Units

At 1103 hrs on Aug 5 Company 5 units were toned out to a reported Outside Fire in the 14900 block of Deepwood Ln.

Units arrived on scene with fire showing from a overgrown field approximately 100 yards from the nearest road. Personnel from E505 stretched a hand line through the tall grass to extinguish the fire before it had a chance to spread.

Station 5 Responds to Early Morning Accident

At 0430 hrs on Aug 5th units from Station 5 were toned out for a auto accident. Dispatch was told that the single car accident was in the area of Route 28 and Fitzwater Dr.

Units searched the area when 911 operator was able to obtain a location from the callers Cell Phone GPS directing units to the 12800 block of Fitzwater Dr,

Construction of the New Station 5

On July 31st a milestone was met when the 100% construction plan along with site plan and design plan were submitted to Prince William County for approval and permitting. Once final approval is received and all permits issued the construction project will open up for bidding.

The National Weather Service is forecasting widespread showers and thunderstorms Friday, Friday Night and Saturday morning; scattered incidents of flash flooding are possible. Nokesville VFD Maintains Reserve Ladder Truck for Prince William County

One exciting aspect of being a volunteer firefighter or EMT is the equipment we get to use. This is Truck 525 (T525), the reserve ladder truck for Prince William County. Nokesville VFD stepped up and agreed to house and maintain this unit so if anther station's primary ladder truck is taken out of service this reserve truck will be deployed to that station.
