Santa Claus is Planning His Visit to the Nokesville Area

North Pole - Public Relations Office, November 29

Through special arrangements with the North Pole, Santa Claus will be making an early trip to check on children who have been "naughty or nice". An annual event supported by the NVFDRS, Santa Claus will be riding the fire trucks of the Nokesville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department as they circulate through the neighborhoods. Showing Support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We are showing our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over 65 members of the department posed for this photo wearing the newly issued uniform shirts.

The taking of the photo was placed on hold while we waited for crews to return from a reported house fire. Luckily the reported house fire was minor and they were able to return in time for this group photo.

New Chief Elected in to Office

Over 80 Active Members attended a special meeting to elect a new chief of the department.

The membership had 3 highly qualified candidates that had been nominated for the position of Chief. The 3 candidates brought years of experience with them and sat for an hour answering questions from the members in a Q&A session. Questions ranged from training priorities to future endeavors of the department.

Plane Crash in Bristow VA

August 16

On Aug 16 2015 at 0911 hours emergency units and personnel from Nokesville Vol Fire and Rescue, Station 5 and 25, along with units from Manassas Vol Fire Company and Prince William County Fire and Rescue where dispatched to a plane crash about 1.5 miles from Station 25.
